“Dave, what are you doing here?” I asked, running to him. He pulled me into a hug.

“I’m sorry for coming late,” he muttered softly, caressing my hair. He looked at Finn. I could feel the tension in the air. He was angry, and I could sense that he was trying to control his wrath.
