“What do you think you are doing?” I heard my mother ask. “Are you crazy? Come back here.”

I stepped back in fear as Daniel approached me. I was shaking. Why? Why did it have to happen today of all days? The day I was supposed to be the queen.

“Mate,” he growled, holding my hand. I could hear them whispering. They were all whispering among themselves.
