She stood there in a daze, her mind echoing Malcolm's words, "Because, it can only be you!"

As the elevator door opened, Marilyn recovered from the daze. Malcolm held her hand and walked to the car.

Marilyn was still immersed in that sentence. She even forgot to refuse Malcolm's actions but followed his footsteps dully.

It was not until she got into the car and Malcolm fastened her seat belt that the strong hormone that lingered around her nose suddenly took her back to reality.

She looked up and her eyes met a pair of deep black eyes, which suddenly filled her with nervousness. She instantly felt that his gaze was like a shackle that had firmly locked her up and left no way to escape!

Malcolm could see that she was nervous, but he merely curled his lips and did not say anything. His fair fingers smoothly held the steering wheel as he drove off the parking lot.
